During the School Holidays i will be enabling the Boston Super Mod. This will remain enabled for the period of just over two weeks starting Saturday 22nd of September. * Adds a jump hole from Sigma 19 (2.5-C) to Omicron Minor. * Unlocks most Single Player systems. * Adds a $1 000 000 mission available at both Tekagi's Arch and Ryuku. * Adds Order missions against Nomads available at Toledo Planet. * Adds the Protector Adv. Shield at Ryuku and Toledo, alongside with the Protector Shield. * Adds the Anubis for Purchase. You do need to download & install the mod. People will still be able to play without the mod, they just wont get the BMS features. BSM needs to be bother Server Side and Client Side. I will announce with a couple days notice before i turn it off again. When I announce this, you need to remove your ships from the locked systems. After the mod is removed, you all need to turn off your client side mod. Failure to remove your ships from the locked system before the Server Side Mod is turned off will mean that your ship will be locked in that system and you will not be able to access it. In a week or so i will conducting another Character Purge. This means that characters that have not been accessed within the last 180 days (6 months) will be deleted. Once characters have been deleted...they are not retrievable! Someone will ask whether or not it is the Account or the Character that needs to be accessed. This is a Character purge, not an Account purge, and as such all characters that have not been used in the past 6 months WILL be deleted. If you wish to keep all your characters, then you will need to log on to each different character. You do not need to do anything, you simply need to log on, then off and that will flag a new 'last used' date. Note! This is posted as fair warning. Information tells us that the BPA Newgate is a deep-max penitentiary, specially built as a high-security prison for those inmates deemed too risky to house on inhabited planets -- usually serial felons, terrorists, and escape artists. Officials say that these men are extremely dangerous, skilled in ship handling and weapon usage. It seems that they have lived up to their reputation as they are now classified as category 1 Fugitives. While actual numbers are still being released, the Bretonian Government has put out an urgent appeal for all and any help in the recapturing of them. Latest intel from the Kusari High Command reveals that a group of these fugitives were spotted leaving Battleship Myoko, in the Shikoku system, and were headed toward Fuchu Prison. We can only speculate that they will attempt to break in and release more prisoners. We need you to stop them at all costs. Reports are also coming in that a fleet has been spotted in the vicinity of Planet Pygar in the Omicron Theta system. Beware, informants advise that backup is essential. Do not approach alone. We are just getting word that a few of these fugitives have stolen top secret military papers. At this stage we have no idea where they are. At 04:10 this day Rheinland military was attacked by a cloaked squad of Nomads. Military and civilian units around the immediate Planet New Berlin range were annihilated. The Military had suffered heavy loses as the Nomads attack was by surprise . All we know at this point is that Oder Shipyard was producing new prototypes of a Class T6 Battleship that could possibly travel to the Unknown parts of the Sirius without taking radiation damage. We also have reports that it was heavily armed with Firestalker Missiles. The two prototypes have gone missing after the attack. The Battleships of course, had tracking devices on them that have so far tracked them through to Alpha and further into the connecting Unknown Nomad infested system. The Nomads have also left with other prototype weaponry and strategic information that Military has not finished testing. Any pilots brave enough to band together in large groups and serve Rheinland are advised to search around the Sun in the Upper Unknown as we suspect their home to be the Sun itself. If you find any sign of The Battleship Prototypes you are to destroy them as we fear they are under Nomad control. Be prepared as we suspect the Nomads are armed better than ever before. We are fast approaching the Christmas/New Year season. Just like last year, we will again have a freeze on System Battles/Challenges during this time. The freeze will become start on 19th Dec '06 and run through to 9th of Jan '07 This is ample time to make sure that Battles/Challenges are settled by 19th Dec. -Cpt Planet

The GOI Freelancer Committee would like to announce and welcome Darkwolf as the latest member. Darkwolf has been appointed following the resignation of Slayer. Darkwolf is a well respected member of the GOI Freelancer Community and we look forward to his contribution.

Astrophysicists from the Liberty Institute of Stellar Science have reported erratic Quantum Flux readings in Sigma 19. The director of NPR (Natural Phenomenon Research), Dr Stronberg, believes these reading might be an indication that a natural jump hole may be forming. ---We werent fortunate enough to analyse the last jump hole that appeared there, so we cant be certain, but all data indicates we are witnessing the birth of a rip in space and time.--- Earlier this year a research team was stationed in Sigma 19 to study the wake of a jump hole that had formed and then 3 weeks later collapsed. Explorers that ventured through that hole labelled the new system, Omicron Minor. Hopes are high for the 18 people declared missing when the Omicron Minor hole collapsed, trapping them in the system without long term supplies. Search and Rescue teams from the GMG have been activated and are ready to deploy should this jump hole eventuate.
